They are one of the few remaining Greek Cypriot restaurants in Astoria and are a solid choice for lunch; they are pretty spacious with a music stage. I came here for a business meeting and was not disappointed with the food and service. Yes, they are a solid recommendation. We ordered soup, tarama, and a souvlaki platter. They are better than Aliada.

Came here at an off hour yesterday 3PM with a friend. We were so hungry I forgot to take pics. Since no one was here the food came out pretty quickly. We ordered an octopus special with lemon potatoes and a chicken souvlaki with lemon potatoes. The lemon potatoes and chicken souvlaki was very good and I very much enjoyed. The octopus I think was highly under seasoned unfortunately, the cook was still good. Came with bread, pita and tomatoes, cucumbers and onion. Looks like they have live music some nights

Great greek restaurant in the heart of Astoria with amazing service Food: the food was really good! The halloumi was delicious and well made! We got the mixed spreads plate that was also really delicious and the pita that came with it was also flavorful! For my main I ordered the chicken souvlaki with a side of fries! The chicken was not my favorite and I think that id rather go to a place like BZ grill for chicken souvlaki! Service: winning service! I loved our waitress she was so friendly and funny and made some great reccs! She also informed us about why theee weren't many people at the restaurant (several are fasting for lent) Ambience: it was empty when we got there at 1pm on Saturday! But they have a stage and a lot of tables! I can see this as a place where many from the community gather to eat and listen to music Price: for my main and splitting two apps we each paid about $35 which I think is fair! I also had leftovers

Delicious and authentic Greek food in the heart of Astoria with generous portion sizes. The lady (owner?) of the restaurant was very hospitable with a great sense of humor. I came with a few other friends who were visiting the neighborhood for the first time, and it was a lovely welcoming experience. There is ample seating indoors, and I wish we were there on a day with live music. This restaurant seems like a place with a fun, and lively ambiance. My only complaint was I thought the roasted lamb would look different in form than it did. Some parts were a little tough to cut through. We also made the rookie mistake of ordering appetizers that were included in their larger combo platters (located at the bottom of the menu). Had we noticed it earlier, we would have ordered that since it also came with a sampler of different meats and seafoods! But I guess that means an excuse to come back again someday.

A little authentic gem among many well established eateries in Astoria, right under the el. We went early and only 1 other table was taken- got worried. Realize that in this neighborhood dinner guests arrive after 8. It was packed by the time we left, live Greek musicians entertained. Omg! Amazing food. The best Tatziki we ever had! All salads outstanding, Lamb chops grilled, chicken Kebob, spinach pie - everything delicious & cooked to perfection!

Astoria's demographic might be changing by the day, but there is still plenty of Greek life in the neighborhood as evidenced by a place like Dionysos. It is a quaint, dare I say charming, supremely authentic Greek spot (#1). You know those Eastern European restaurants that don't get a ton of traffic on the weekdays but host all sorts of private parties for families and various local gatherings on the weekends? That's a bit how this place is: old school vibe, motherland approved. Maybe I lucked out each time while dining and and doing take out, but the food has been really good each time. I am hooked on their kolokithokeftedes (fried zucchini balls) and literally cannot stop ordering their moussaka or pasticcio. The roasted lamb is divine and their sheftalia (pork and lamb sausage) is as juicy as it is tasty. Even rhe spanokopita is good. Their seafood selection is also excellent and I appreciate they have their own take on cyprus mezzes. Service has been kind and their delivery js on point. I appreciate that their food is packaged well and is even well labeled. Prices are reasonable compared to other more expensive and popular Greek competition. I would reckon that folks add Dionysos to their must try list but yo their growing rotation of tasty Astoria haunts. __________ (#1) You can trust me, I'm not even Greek. (#2) If you can say this 3x fast without stuttering, you've won at life.
